Editors’ Notes An old head on young shoulders, Roddy Frame is the evergreen prodigy with the delicate jazzy guitar and sincere voice (“Down the Dip”). But away from his indie/soul chart hits, he stood out among his post-punk Glasgow peers by writing mature and beguiling love songs with classic rock touches, such as the Dylan-esque harmonica in “Back On Board,” or the metal guitar solo in “The Crying Scene.”
