

As Arctic Monkeys' music has grown increasingly polished, so has their visual aesthetic. In the clip for 2006 breakthrough single, “I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor,” the band bashes out a punk beat in a raw soundstage recording; seven years later, they render the soulful hard-rock grooves of “R U Mine” as a live-action black-and-white paparazzi photo, with Alex Turner mugging for the camera in his slick pompadour and sunglasses.
