Catch Whoopi Goldberg in one of her finest hours as glamorous Reno lounge singer Dolores, on the run from the mob after she becomes an unwitting witness to a murder. She needs police protection—so where’s she sent to hide out? A convent, of course—as a nun. Expect classic culture clash comedy, cracking one-liners and some lung-ripping gospel numbers as Dolores gives the nunnery’s stuffy choir a makeover—and learns a thing or two about sisterhood in the process. With excellent support in Maggie Smith, Kathy Najimy, Harvey Keitel and a standout Mary Wickes, this is Disney comedy at its heavenly best.
