About Zhavia Ward

Los Angeles-based singer Zhavia was one of the contestants on the inaugural season of television singing competition The Four. Although finishing in third place, she emerged as a fan favorite with her soulful voice, blond dreadlocks, and a style that fell somewhere between Fergie and Rihanna. Born Zhavia Vercetti in Orange County, California, she grew up in a musical household, with her mother in a metal band and father involved with R&B. On the show, Zhavia -- then only 16 years old -- sang songs by Khalid, Rihanna, A Great Big World, Drake, the Fugees, and Cardi B. She was second runner-up at the conclusion of the show's first season, which aired in early 2018. Later that year, she joined with Diplo, French Montana, and Lil Pump on the track "Welcome to the Party," which appeared on the Deadpool 2 soundtrack. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
