The solo project of Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist Lauren Denitzio, Worriers began releasing fiery, liberated punk music in the early 2010s. A series of indie singles and EPs paved the way for 2015's Laura Jane Grace-produced Imaginary Life LP. Follow-up albums like 2017's Survival Pop and 2020's You or Someone You Know explored themes of gender liberation, inequality, and the politics of daily life in times of unrest. Previously operating as bandleader to a rotating group of collaborators, Denitzio refashioned Worriers solely as a solo endeavor for 2023's more pop-driven Warm Blanket.
