About Wings Denied
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Five years old, dressed in a Batman cape, using a garden hose as a microphone. My "band" was made up of my dog, a stuffed giraffe, and a broken blender. Convinced we were playing the greatest punk rock the world had never heard. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Deftones, Diamond Eyes (Deluxe Edition) The Dillinger Escape Plan, Ire Works The Ocean, Pelagial (Deluxe Edition) We're into albums that hit you like a steel-toed boot to the face—heavy, weird, and emotional. Whether it feels like drowning in deep waters or floating in space, we need music that leaves us wondering what the hell just happened... in a good way. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Plastic Tears” Plastic Tears is like watching a robot try to cry—awkward, messy, but somehow real. It’s fat basslines, chaotic riffs, and a heartbroken android having a meltdown. Born from frustration, it’s our ode to falling apart in the loudest way possible. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We were set to play SXSW, bags packed, spirits high—then, boom, COVID hits, Trump cancels all flights, world stops. Imagine sitting in the airport, ready to rock, only to be benched by a pandemic. Classic. Oh and having Plastic Tears on Fortnite. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We’d love to play a gig in space, preferably on the dark side of the moon. No gravity, just riffs floating through the cosmos. Also, a collab with a mariachi band—because why not? And maybe one day, we’ll figure out how to release a vinyl on time.
