At the intersection of bass music and hip-hop, you’ll find Canadian DJ and producer WHIPPED CREAM whipping crowds into a frenzy. • Before she was dancing on the decks in front of packed festival crowds, WHIPPED CREAM grew up as a competitive figure skater with lofty Olympic goals. • After a severe ankle injury—and a pivotal trip to the Sasquatch! music festival in Washington State—she decided to start experimenting with production software. • She chose the name WHIPPED CREAM to complement her platinum blonde hair (and love of whipped cream). • Her original tracks began to catch the ear of Skrillex. His notorious NEST HQ label/blog released her breakout 2017 single “Ignorant,” along with her Persistence EP. • WHIPPED CREAM’s track “So Thick,” featuring rapper Baby Goth, appears on the soundtrack for the 2020 film Birds of Prey. The soundtrack earned an American Music Award for Favorite Soundtrack in 2020. • Her 2020 EP WHO IS WHIPPED CREAM showcases her stylistic range with features from rappers like Lil Xan and Lil Keed and indie singers like Ravenna Golden. • Known for her explosive DJ sets, WHIPPED CREAM has performed at festivals like Ultra, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Shambhala.
