Wes Lee

Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Wes Lee is a longtime champion of dance music from the African diaspora. Initially blending dancehall and hip-hop as DJ WaxFiend, he was responsible for the long-running, well-regarded reggae night Jamrock, and he earned accolades around the world. During the 2020s, he switched his focus to Afro-house and related styles such as gqom, amapiano, and 3-step, releasing material such as 2024's The End Is Near EP.
