About Underground Lovers

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Seeing Fleetwood Mac at Festival Hall in the late 70's blew us away. Lindsay's guitar solos and Stevie's mystery really had an impact on us. It inspired us to want to play music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Essendon Airport, Palimpsest Pel Mel, Rags to Tatters: The Best of Pel Mel The Go-Betweens, Liberty Belle and the Black Diamond Express These three Australian bands were incredibly influential and helped shaped our own song writing in the early 80's. We caught these bands whenever they played and we always came away inspired. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dream It Down” The song Dream it Down is the title track from our third album and marked a significant change in direction for us. It's layers of guitars and feedback float on a hypnotic rhythm. A wonderful intro to our favorite album. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing at the 4AD 13 Year Itch event at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London in 1993. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Getting a remix done by Stephen Morris of New Order would be amazing. We love his work.
