About Tyler Joe Miller

Canadian country star Tyler Joe Miller is a poster boy for the idea of the underdog coming out on top. Although Surrey, BC, native Miller kicked off his career as an independent artist, he nevertheless burst into the big time from day one, hitting the top of the Canadian country charts with his 2019 debut single, the slow-burning, romantic “Pillow Talkin’.” Miller then repeated the feat with his 2020 follow-up, the chugging, rootsy “I Would Be Over Me Too,” becoming Canada’s first indie act ever to score two No. 1 country singles straight out of the gate. Within two years he won three British Columbia Country Music Association Awards, including 2020’s Male Artist of the Year and Single of the Year. The rest of Miller’s 2020 debut EP, Sometimes I Don’t, But Sometimes I Do, showed the world that he had plenty more strings to his bow, as he lent his big, warm voice to twangy, feel-good tracks, moody soul-searchers, and more.
