About Trumpet Wom'

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mom playing Black oldies as she cleaned Saturday morning while my sister danced around making the records skip. David Peaston, Jennifer Holiday and Luther Vandross to name a few. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Just Me and My Trumpet” It's such a viiiibe. I don't really make that many techno tracks and it was fun to make this one about how much I love just playing trumpet. This one is buried deep in the album and doesn't get played much but I love it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Working with Scott Jacoby and Emily Lazar. It is magical hearing the ideas in my head in the represented so well in the real world. It really was an humbling honor. Mixing and mastering engineers are the unsung heroes of the music industry. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I've never sold out a show and would love to. I don't need it to be some big stadium deal, nice cozy local club where we can really connect with the audience and vibe the energy as a whole.
