About Trace Thompson

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first music memory is singing "The Gambler" for show & tell in elementary school. I remember forgetting to bring something, so somehow I got the courage to just sing in front of the class acapella. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bryan Adams, MTV Unplugged: Bryan Adams George Strait, Best of George Strait (Deluxe Edition) Toby Keith, 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Toby Keith I cut my teeth on these album playing them over & over, and I learned to sing & play guitar to many of these songs. Early in my career, I appreciated the art of songwriting, and I do my best to carry forward these styles into every song I write! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sittin' Alone” Every song I release has a piece of me in it, and this one is no exception. This was based on a real-life experience I witnessed at a bar I've played many times. This is still one of my top requested songs along w/ "Jesus & Me" from this album. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've been blessed by many people which have created amazing moments for me. My annual Give Back Jam for local charities will top my list, but selfishly I have to say receiving Country EP & Songwriter of the Year at the Grand Ole Opry was amazing! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely! While I still release songs that mean something to me occasionally, my focus has shifted to write the best for every artist I get the opportunity to help!! I love mentoring new talent, and watching them grow! Check out my playlist.
