In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I saw Phantom of the Opera when I was around 3, and according to my parents I played the "Overture" melody when we got home. I think piano was my first language. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Baths, Pop Music / False B-Sides II Clark, Sus Dog Half Waif, The Caretaker This is an impossible question to answer. Several of my favorites aren't even showing up as options here. So instead, I've listed 3 albums that were really influential to me in making my upcoming EP. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Shattered” I wrote this song from my dog Dessner's perspective as he was in the last couple weeks of his life, suffering from a really aggressive cancer. Listening to it countless times became a really important way for me to grieve and heal. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Creating and producing an entire EP via sharing Ableton screens on Zoom with my producer Tim. It's such a modern feat and it's wild that I haven't even seen him in person since before I started writing the EP. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? It's my dream to collaborate with one of my idols in some capacity. I think that's when I'll feel like I will have "made it". Sufjan, Caribou, Julianna Barwick...there isn't enough space to list them all.
