Tom Misch is a UK singer-songwriter whose soulful pop stylings pull from hip-hop, jazz, and disco. ∙ A devoted hip-hop fan since middle school, Misch first built a following by posting beats he’d made online, which eventually prompted the release of 2014’s Beat Tape 1. ∙ His 2015 follow-up, Beat Tape 2, included collaborations with such artists as Carmody, Jordan Rakei, and Sam Wills. ∙ In 2018, he released his debut full-length, Geography, which cracked the Top 10 of the UK album charts. ∙ Freddie Gibbs, Novelist, and GoldLink are just a few of his MC collaborators, and Geography featured a guest spot from the legendary hip-hop outfit De La Soul. ∙ He teamed up with experimental jazz drummer Yussef Days on 2020’s What Kinda Music, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.
