About Timoteij

Timoteij is a Swedish pop group with an ethnic style who rose to fame at the Melodifestivalen in 2010 prior to making their chart-topping album debut with Längtan that same year. Founded in 2008 in Skara, Sweden, the group is a quartet comprised of Cecilia Kallin (vocals, guitar; born in 1991 in Falköping, Sweden), Bodil Bergström (vocals, accordion; born in 1991 in Skara, Sweden), Elina Thorsell (vocals, flute; born in 1991 in Skövde, Sweden), and Johanna Pettersson (vocals, fiddle; born in 1991 in Tibro, Sweden). Timoteij finished in fifth place at the Melodifestivalen in 2010 with the song "Kom." Written by Karl Eurén, Gustav Eurén, and Niclas Arn, "Kom" reached number two on the Swedish singles chart and spent eight weeks overall in the Top Five. Released in association with Universal Music, the group's full-length album debut, Längtan (2010), was a number one smash hit. ~ Jason Birchmeier
