Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Déjà Vu Herbie Mann, Jazz Masters: Herbie Mann Leon Russell, Carney Remastered Leon Russell's piano had the feel of my pentecostal roots mixed with rock and roll. When I was first started flute, it was along with a Herbie Mann cassette tape. The folk-rock sound of Deja Vu was the soundtrack of my 20s, though older than me. Tell us why you chose this song. “With Each New Step” I wrote this original jazz piece exploring themes of God walking with us through discovery, doubt, and hurt to healing during such a time in my life ( Hab 3:19, Ps 23:3-4, Prov 3:6, Matt 28:20, 9:1-8, Israel walking from Egypt to Promised Land.).
