About The Willis Clan

The Willis Clan are a Tennessee-based family band who first rose to national attention with their 2014 appearance on NBC's America's Got Talent, introducing fans to their earnest mix of country, pop, rock, and Irish music with strong themes of faith and country life. They later appeared for two seasons on their own TLC reality show, The Willis Family, and released the 2015 album Heaven, before a family scandal temporarily put their careers on hiatus. Six of the Willis siblings mounted a comeback in 2018 with the Speak My Mind album. Like a country-pop mash-up of the Corrs, Lady Antebellum, and the Partridge Family, the 14-piece collective (parents Brenda and Toby and their 12 home-schooled children, Jessica, Jeremiah, Jennifer, Jeanette, Jackson, Jedi, Jasmine, Juliette, Jamie, Joy Anna, Jaeger, and Jada) made a splash in 2014 with an electrifying appearance on the NBC reality show America's Got Talent (they made it into the quarterfinals). The following year saw the group land a deal with TLC for their own reality show, The Willis Family, and release an album of original pop songs -- 11 of which were penned by eldest sibling Jessica -- called Heaven. The Willis Clan's television and performing career came to an abrupt halt in 2016 when patriarch Toby was arrested on four counts of child rape against four of his daughters. He later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 40 years in prison. In 2018, the six eldest Willis siblings -- excluding Jessica -- re-formed the Willis Clan to release a comeback album, Speak My Mind. The powerful album directly addressed the children's abuse and family trauma, offering songs of hope and healing. ~ James Christopher Monger
