The Seeds

About The Seeds

Led by iconic frontman Sky Saxon, California garage band the Seeds brought a hard and heady edge to the '60s paisley rock sound, blending raw blues, primitive riffs, and acid-drenched lyricism into a proto-punk Summer of Love hybrid. Saxon would later fully embrace the hippie vibes of the era, going so far as to follow cult leader Father Yod and team up with members Yod's infamous act Yahowa 13. Saxon reunited the Seeds under various new monikers in the decades that followed, and collaborated with the likes of the Dream Syndicate, the Plimsouls, and the Scientists, among others.
