About The Sand Pebbles
The Sand Pebbles were formed by drummer Piet Collins, bassist Chris Hollow, and guitarist Ben Michael X, who met in Melbourne, Australia, while writing scripts for the Australian soap opera Neighbours. After expanding to a quintet, they released their self-titled debut three-track EP on Camera Obscura in 2001. They play riff-driven rock with heavy echoes of '60s psychedelia, surf music, and punk/hard rock crossover styles. 2002 saw the release of their first full length album, Eastern Terrace. ~ Richie Unterberger
