The New Pacific

Specializing in heavy melodic rock with an ear toward pop-punk hooks and resonating alt-rock choruses, Los Angeles, California's New Pacific came together in 2015 out of a shared love of bands like Thrice, Foo Fighters, and Jimmy Eat World. Featuring the talents of vocalist/guitarist Alec Strickland, guitarist Brett Carpenter, bassist Dustin Martin, and drummer Brian Perry, the band debuted in 2016 with a handful of singles before issuing the Cycle EP in early 2017. A choice slot at Lollapalooza, some quality radio airtime at KROQ, and an appearance on the Eagles of Death Metal benefit LP helped to raise awareness of the group. In November 2018 they released the single "Get Away," which was produced by Steve Evetts (the Cure, Saves the Day, Every Time I Die). ~ James Christopher Monger
