The Moxie Strings

About The Moxie Strings

The genre-crossing music of The Moxie Strings reached the top of U.S. classical crossover charts in the summer of 2022. In addition to performance and recording, the group's work also has a strong educational component. The Moxie Strings' fiddler Diana Ladio and cellist Alison Lynn both hold bachelor's degrees in music performance and music education, as does percussionist Fritz McGirr, with whom the duo often performs. The Moxie Strings issued their debut album, Running in Squares, in 2014. The group has taught clinics in more than 200 schools throughout the U.S. and has presented their methods at music education conferences. The Moxie Strings released the album Outlet in 2016. They returned in 2022 with Live & Plugged In, which reached the number one position on Billboard magazine's U.S. classical crossover chart.
