About The Husht

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Watching The Lawrence Welk Show as a kid, I "conducted" the orchestra with a Tinkertoy stick. I wanted to be part of the music. It was my first inkling that I needed to be a part of a group of musicians, making people feel something. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dido, Life for Rent Metallica, Master of Puppets (Remastered) Various Artists, The Crow (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) I love the whole Crow soundtrack; the final track haunts me. The Hooters—first rock concert I saw; I played the cassette to death. The unexpected rhythmic timing and counts in Master of Puppets tickles my brain no matter how many times I listen. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Can You Hear Me?” I call it my "mid-apocalyptic interstellar exodus" song. Inspired by a sci-fi novella, it was the first I recorded. The producer nailed the arrangement, and the book’s author loved it so much he sent me an autographed copy. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Hearing "Virtual Girl" on the Bob Cesca podcast for the fourth time. He never plays anything twice; I was shocked! Connecting with a wide audience through music is my goal. As an awkward introvert, it’s how I want to connect and be remembered. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I've played stadiums in tribute bands, but connecting with a crowd through songs I wrote is an experience I need to have before my journey is over. With the full band now assembled, I am thrilled to see what happens when we step onto the stage!
