About The Dogs D'Amour
Trashy hard-rock outfit Dogs D’Amour was formed in 1983 by Tyla, A London-based singer-songwriter. Hot on the heels of their debut, the band relocated to Finland; however, an album recorded for the Kumibeat label was never released. Returning to the U.K. in 1985, further changes in the line-up preceded the release of their debut, IN THE DYNAMITE JET SALOON, on China Records. Dogs D’Amour finally broke through the British charts with the hits "How Come It Never Rains," and "Satellite Kid’ off the 1989 album ERROL FLYNN. After touring extensively, they recorded STRAIGHT??!!, in Hollywood, with ex-Faces keyboard player Ian McLagan helping out, before splitting up immediately after the release of MORE UNCHARTERED HEIGHTS OF DISGRACE (1993). Material for an abandoned fifth album was finally released as HAPPY EVER AFTER in 2001.
