About The Dave Clark Five
British beat group the Dave Clark Five formed in North London in 1960. They first hit the U.K. charts in October 1963, in the wake of a spectacular upsurge of talent known in the United States as the British Invasion. "Glad All Over" proved one of the most distinctive and recognizable songs of the era, reaching number one in the U.K. in January 1964. Over the next couple of years, the group enjoyed hits with "Bits And Pieces" and "Catch Us If You Can," but as their star began to fade in their home land, new opportunities awaited them in the States. A series of appearances on the ED SULLIVAN SHOW helped them score a remarkable 17 Billboard Top 40 hits, including a number one with "Over And Over."
