About The Charms

The Charms, a mellifluous R&B vocal group, scored a number of big hits in the mid-1950s. After a string of unsuccessful releases, the Charms career took off with their cover of "Heart of Stone," which would remain their biggest hit. The song reached an impressive #15, despite a competing version by the Fontane Sisters. Their cover of the Five Keys’ novelty hit "Ling, Ting, Tong" returned the act to the charts. However, the tables were turned on them when "Two Hearts" (written by bandmember Otis Williams) was covered by Pat Boone.
