Initially known as the social media personality Meekakitty, indie-pop singer-songwriter Tessa Violet showcases her quirky and endearing personality on songs like the 2019 streaming smash “Crush.” • In 2007, the Oregon resident began vlogging about fashion, travel, and the mundane as part of a high school senior project. One year later, she moved to New York City, pursuing the hobby under the alias Meekakitty. • Violet appears in a fan-made 2011 video for AWOLNATION's “Sail” that has surpassed 350 million views.
