In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Seeing the Gipsy Kings live! What a show! Truly inspiring and prevalent in our music over the years as one of our biggest influences. My sister was pulled up on stage to dance flamenco with the Gipsy Kings and the memory will last forever! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Emancipator, Safe in the Steep Cliffs Gipsy Kings, Gipsy Kings Live TOOL, Ænima Brian and I both draw inspiration from Tool. Their arrangements, precision and their power. The Gipsy Kings - they're the kings of rumba. We have developed Tesoro's sound with much influence from this group and this album in particular. Tell us why you chose this song. “Rust & Rhythm” After nearly two decades performing together, Brian and myself came back together after an eight-year hiatus. "Rust & Rhythm" was one of the first tracks we wrote after our hiatus. It is the perfect representation of the true Tesoro sound!
