Tedo Stone

Garage/psych-rocker Tedo Stone developed his musical talents early, fronting his first band at 12 and gigging around the bar circuit near his hometown of Covington, Georgia. Stone came from a musical family where vintage soul, country, and rock were a mainstay, and his 2013 debut, Good Go Bad, reflected his varied tastes and retro-pop acumen, pulling elements from glam, alt-country, and psych. It was also his first release for Atlanta-based label This Is American Music. While Stone was living in the musically fertile college town of Athens, Georgia, his music began to take on a noisier, freewheeling character that recalled Dinosaur Jr. and Neil Young, and he paired up with producer Drew Vandenberg to record his follow-up, 2015's decidedly grittier Marshes. ~ Timothy Monger
