In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I made an entire album at 11 years old - I wrote about taking tests and being stressed out which is concerning. Also there's a song called "No More Love Songs" where I deride songwriting about being in love. Didn't stick with that ethos obviously. Tell us why you chose this song. “Preoccupied” I’m a super obsessive person - definitely in an unhealthy way- but I wanted to write a song about the fun kind of obsession. It’s nice to just enjoy getting lost and indulging the more delusional and hedonistic parts of your subconscious.
