Tay Kewei

Singer-songwriter Tay Kewei’s soft, silken vocals have endeared her to industry critics and audiences alike. Coming from a musical family (her sister is a member of MICapella), she started out as a backing vocalist and erhu player accompanying Mandopop royalty like Wang Leehom, A-Mei and JJ Lin on their live tours. The multi-instrumentalist kicked off her solo career with Japanese and English-language covers in the early 2010s before moving towards Mandarin originals in 2014, befitting an artist who started out on the Mandarin pop stage. Moving fluidly across sweet ballads, sunny electro pop and jazzy R&B with her elegant tone, Tay’s subtle sheen is present in all her works.
