Tanger are Colorado-based graduates of the Steve Albini school of noisy punk. Having gotten their start in 1995, guitarist/vocalist Jason Chinnock and bassist Jason Cope would endure a number of drummers before finally settling with Jon Linn in late 1998. Tanger's math rock of abrasive indie punk took the notice of Owned and Operated Records, who eventually released their first self-titled full-length in 2000. ~ Mike DaRonco
