About Tad

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Playing 'No Woman, No Cry' in Primary School Year 1 in Lisbon, Portugal. Gaining an interest in hiphop due to the poetry behind it in the late 90's. Watching 8 Mile alone in my bedroom at 8 years of age. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Survival (2013 Remaster) Bonus Track Version Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Nas, Distant Relatives (Bonus Track Version) Sam The Kid, Pratica(Mente) Distant Relatives is, as a whole, the best album ever made in my opinion. Survival is an album I've always related to. Pratica(mente) is the album which really showed me how Poetry and Hip-Hop combine. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. It's a song where I combined the Old Portuguese Blues best known as Fado with hip-hop to release a song talking about my grandfather, the man who raised me until the age of 12. A song that always reminds me of good times but leaves a lot of 'Saudade' What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Having Made To Be Tame released by DMX on Fresh Blood in 2021 before his passing. Featuring Mic Righteous on the last song of my 'Darkest Days' EP 'A Tad Reckless'. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Sell over 1 Billion copies. Play on the world's biggest stages. Make a change by impacting the listeners with lyricism.
