About Susanna

Susanna's atmospheric blend of jazz, rock, and electronica brings singer/songwriter intimacy to ambitious ideas. A large part of the classically trained Norwegian vocalist/pianist/composer's versatility comes from her clear, elegant voice, which has drawn comparisons to Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, and Cocteau Twins’ Liz Fraser. Her music's range is even wider, spanning her artfully stark covers of Dylan, Prince, and AC/DC to her own ambitious compositions. After embarking on her solo career with minimalistic efforts such as 2007's Sonata Mix Dwarf Cosmos, she fleshed out her sound with award-winning albums such as 2013's The Forester, 2015's Meshes of Voice, and 2016's eclectic Triangle. Later in the decade, interpreting the work of other artists remained a vital part of her career, whether on 2019's Hieronymus Bosch-inspired Garden of Earthly Delights or 2022's Elevation, which was inspired by poet Charles Baudelaire.
