About Supereal
A London-based duo of Peter Morris and Paul Freegard who branched out to cult dancefloor status following their origins in Meat Beat Manifesto. Their music incorporated the more foreboding elements which were always associated with their former employers, as well as rich breakbeats and informed treatments of house styles. Tracks such as ‘Terminal High RIP’ seem to have been provoked by a restless, playful spirit, which was somewhat lacking in MBM. Their career had begun in 1990 with ‘Body Medusa’, before ‘United State Of Love’ for Guerilla Records in 1992. The first of these was remixed by Leftfield, the second by Slam.
