In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Ford: Grandfather (T-Model Ford) picked me up from school at 6yrs old and said, “you gonna start drumming for me tonight.” Coppage: Sitting side stage around 7 yrs old watching my father perform. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Funkadelic, Maggot Brain The Black Keys, Brothers Three 6 Mafia, Most Known Unknown At the end of the day, we love heavy groove music. The Black Keys always respected T-Model Ford. Funkadelic is a sonic journey with anthem lyrics. Three 6 Mafia represents Memphis and changed the game of music and business. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ain't No Love” This was the first song we wrote that we truly feel we capture the legacy of Delta and Hill Country blues and at the same time, push our sound to a new, contemporary audience. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? 2025 is creating memorable moments - our debut EP dropped & first official video (produce by Black 22 Productions). And to really bring us a pride in our hard work, we will be headed to Switzerland in June for the Crissier Blues Rules Festival. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We want to record an album of songs written by the late T-Model Ford (Stud's grandfather, which he drummed with since age 6). We also want to be able to host music and community events in our hometown of Greenville, MS.
