About STS

An artist who launched his career in the background, then came up-front years later, rapper STS is also known as Sugar Tongue Slim. Born in Atlanta, STS later moved to Philadelphia to launch his career, getting his start working with the songwriting and production team of Dre & Vidal. His big break came in 2005 when he earned writing credits on the Ciara and Ludacris hit "Oh!," after which STS set off on a solo career. In 2011 he worked with Jazzy Jeff on the track "Maybe We Can" and joined Black Thought and Mick Boogie in MMJB (Money Making Jam Boys), a group affiliated with the streetwear brand 10 Deep. In 2012 he released his Goldrush mixtape, while 2014 saw him work with the electro crew Crookers on their track "Get Excited." In 2015 he collaborated with producer RJD2 on the aptly titled album STS X RJD2. ~ David Jeffries
