Asheville, NC-based ska-funk combo Strut formed in 1999. Agent Ishi (vocals), Biko Casini (percussion), Patrick Thomas (drums), and brothers Casey (guitar) and Elijah Cramer (bass) all grew up on the Summertown, TN, commune The Farm. Strut issued their debut album, About Time, in 2003. A relentless tour schedule, highlighted by a trio of side-stage appearances at the 2005 Bonnaroo Festival, preceded the release of the band's follow-up effort, Non-Hostile Takeover. ~ Jason Ankeny
