In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory dates back to my first year. I recall my mother holding me on her hip as we danced to Ella Fitzgerald's album, "30 by Ella". Ella had the voice of an angel. The album features 6 medleys. It's a beautiful memory for me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ernestine Anderson, Ernestine Anderson Michel Legrand, Michel Legrand By Michel Legrand Shirley Horn, But Beautiful: The Best of Shirley Horn If I were stuck on a desert island and could bring three albums along, these 3 albums would keep me inspired. Michel Legrand playing solo piano alone is awe inspiring, Ernestine and Shirley never get old. Beginning to end these albums are perfection. Tell us why you chose this song. “Poor Little Child” A dear friend had lost her daughter to drug addiction and the song poured out of me. I was overwhelmed with how it would feel to lose a child. How hard it is to be a child in this time. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Hearing my music on the radio. I love singing and to actually realize that people enjoy hearing me brought me full circle. There is no stopping me now. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to sing with the Count Basie Orchestra. Now that would be AMAZING!
