In the artist’s words: What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Drive-By Truckers, Decoration Day Gram Parsons, GP Waylon Jennings, Waylon Live (Expanded Edition) Expanded Edition Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris were the model for our sweet harmonized country rock. Waylon Live was the template for what a live country band should sound like. Drive-By Truckers heavily influence our big guitar sound. Tell us why you chose this song. “Santa Ana Winds” This was a song that Scott first wrote and recorded with his previous band Spirit Lake. He brought it to Stars of Cascadia when we formed and we countried it up. It's probably our signature song and we still play it almost every night. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening for Kelly Willis at the White Eagle Saloon in Portland was a special night. She's Austin royalty and getting asked to support her here in town was a real honor, the crowd was great and she and her band were so kind. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We'd love to become more widely known outside of the Pacific Northwest. We've had extensive radio play around the region and played more shows than we can count, but we're all adults with real lives and have never really taken our show on the road.
