In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I went to my first ska show at Recher Theatre in Towson, Maryland to see a local band called The Skakabobs. I fell in love with the upbeat quirkiness of their sound, they're one of the main reasons Stacked Like Pancakes exists today. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Foo Fighters, The Colour And The Shape Green Day, Dookie Reel Big Fish, Our Live Album Is Better Than Your Live Album These albums shaped my childhood. Dookie was my first obsession - finding it at a record store and playing it front to back nonstop. Dave Grohl is my ultimate idol as a songwriter and performer. And RBF's live album is one of the greatest ever. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “S F D D” This song was originally supposed to be much slower in tempo. But I remember showing it to the band at rehearsal, and we were all like, "what if we tried a few bpm faster?" We repeated that like 10 times until we found the energy the song needed. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2019, we got to play at the final Vans Warped Tour in Atlantic City, New Jersey right next to the ocean with some of the biggest bands and artists in the world. Just having our name on the same poster as some of our biggest idols was incredible. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? One of our big goals is to reach 100k monthly listeners across all streaming platforms, and we're on our way! We would also love to tour with more ska bands like Less Than Jake and Streetlight Manifesto, or ska-adjacent bands like Bowling for Soup.
