New Jersey native Stacey Kent is a world-renowned jazz vocalist who frequently sings in French.

∙ Her 2000 LP, Let Yourself Go: Celebrating Fred Astaire, reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Jazz Albums chart.
∙ In 2001, Kent was named Vocalist of the Year at the British Jazz Awards, and she won Best Vocalist at the 2002 BBC Jazz Awards.
Breakfast on the Morning Tram, her 2007 release featuring four songs with lyrics by novelist Kazuo Ishiguro, was nominated for a Best Jazz Vocal Album Grammy Award.
∙ In 2009, she received an Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, the honor presented by France’s Minister of Culture recognizing noteworthy contributions to the arts.
