Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. It has to be the one Christmas, way back, when Chris Klein, the bass player and father of Nick and Thomas, gifted them their first instruments. Nick a guitar; and Thomas a drum set.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Green Day, International Superhits! The Beatles, Rubber Soul Vulfpeck, Mr Finish Line The Rubber Soul album was Thomas’ first album as a kid, and the Green Day was Nick’s. Mr. Finish Line came out at a time when we were figuring out what to be as a band, and were given the gift of Vulfpeck.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Do You Know What I Mean” Our first song. We wrote it in collaboration with Jackie Johnston our good friend Jackie Johnston. The one line during the bridge “refused love can be used, but I’ve got nothing to show” is testament to all the broken hearted, that there is hope.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? After our first show in New Orleans, and a bad one at that, the three of us were walking down Bourbon St. only to hear a homeless dude scream “HEY LOOK! IT’S 3 LITTLE HARRY POTTER’S!” Never have we heard a louder collective laugh on one street.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We would love to put out a surf rock album, tour japan with Masayoshi Takanaka, play ACL fest, and fire a bazooka at a car!
