About Sofía Reyes
Sofia Reyes is a Mexican multilingual singer-songwriter who mixes reggaeton, pop, dance, and R&B in her music. ∙ Reyes got a record deal after bachata star Prince Royce discovered online videos of her singing bilingual mashups of popular English and Spanish hits. ∙ Her debut single, 2014’s “Muévelo (feat. Wisin),” made the Top 40 of three different Billboard charts in the US and went Platinum in Spain. ∙ “Sólo Yo,” her 2016 duet with Prince Royce, marked the first time in five years that a female artist earned the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Latin Pop chart. ∙ The 2018 single “1, 2, 3,” which featured guest spots by Jason Derulo and De La Ghetto, went Platinum in multiple countries, and its video was nominated for a Lo Nuestro Award. ∙ She wrote the Latin American Music Award-winning hit “RIP,” and it was her idea to recruit Rita Ora and Anitta to represent three different parts of the world in three different languages.
