In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Learning piano with my mom. I wouldn’t have been drawn towards music if it hadn’t been for her influence. Even though I use music to express my personal thoughts & feelings I couldn’t manifest otherwise, I will forever pay homage to her! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? J Dilla, Donuts MF DOOM, Operation: Doomsday (Complete) of Montreal, Satanic Panic in the Attic I’ve been listening to MF DOOM since I was a kid. His musical story telling through sampling and editing is unmatched. J Dilla is my second most largest influence when it comes to sampling and song structure. Of Montreal is my most favorite band :) Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Vital Sense” This track was one of my first real dives into expressive abstract composition. This whole album was a vent of emotional and mental distress that I channeled into musical expression. I felt like it took forever to get the timing right tho lol. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The production and release of the Secret Lab album. I cannot express enough how much of my heart and soul I poured into that project! Creating that album helped me finally get out of the deep depression I was in following my mothers passing… Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To spread my music to as many ears and like minded individuals as possible and continue to innovate and nurture the wholesome side of music culture
