About SILENT SIREN
SILENT SIREN is a Japanese all-female pop band formed by four fashion models who were also musicians.
∙ Their breakout live appearance came when they performed at AGESTOCK2011, an annual two-day music and fashion festival held at Tokyo Dome City Hall.
∙ “Bii-San,” from 2012, peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart, kicking off a run of 12 Japanese Top 10 singles.
∙ In 2014, the band’s drummer, Hinanchu, began hosting Music Japan TV, an international cable show dedicated to expanding J-pop’s popularity in Indonesia.
∙ SILENT SIREN’s 2015 appearance at Budokan set a Japanese girl-group record for the shortest length of time between securing a recording contract and playing at the famed arena.
∙ S, the band’s 2016 LP that featured three hit singles, entered Japan’s Oricon Weekly Albums chart at No. 3—their highest debut to date.
