About Sharna Bass
Counting Sade and Lauryn Hill among her influences, Sharna Bass' rich, smoky voice was featured on tracks by dance acts including Clean Bandit and Gramercy while she was still a teen. Her first solo songs, including 2018's "Buss A 9," revealed a sophisticated, intimate adult contemporary R&B. A native of Kilburn, London, Bass was discovered by dance group Clean Bandit, who heard her sing when she was just 13. Two years later, they featured her on their 2014 single "Extraordinary." The song was a Top Five hit in the U.K. and eventually led to appearances by Bass on tracks by Gramercy and K-Trap. In the meantime, she signed with EGA, which released her debut song, "Buss A 9," in early 2018. A series of songs followed over the next couple of years leading up to Bass' debut EP, Beautiful Chaos. ~ Marcy Donelson
