Seddy Hendrinx

Florida rapper Seddy Hendrinx wears his heart on his sleeve. He describes his sound as “street soulful real deal pain music.” • Hendrinx lived in a homeless shelter as a freshman in high school. He was moved to start rapping after witnessing the murder of his best friend, Johnell, in 2016. Johnell’s last words to Seddy were, “Ball out for me.” • The rapper began gaining traction with early singles like 2017’s “Fell In Love” and 2018’s “Emotional” in 2018. • After signing with Generation Now, the label cofounded by DJ Drama, Hendrinx scored a streaming hit with his 2019 single “LOWKEY,” which samples SWV’s 1992 R&B classic “Weak.” • “LOWKEY” appears on Hendrinx’s 2019 mixtape Roots II, which features Lil Poppa and OMB Peezy.
