Scott McMicken and THE EVER-EXPANDING

Fusing a broad range of influences from rock, folk, and country to jazz and world music, Scott McMicken & the Ever-Expanding is a group fronted by the founding member of successful indie rock band Dr. Dog. An eight-piece combo that adds horns, keyboards, and percussion to the usual guitars and drums, McMicken's project gives him a chance to explore new territory with a fresh outlook, an unfettered creative spirit, and powerful grooves. The group had never played together before they started work on their debut album, 2023's Shabang, but they quickly cohered into a viable, imaginative octet.
