About SAPPHIRE

British singer/songwriter SAPPHIRE amassed a huge following with her online renditions of classic and contemporary pop songs before delivering her major-label debut EP in 2020 with the holiday-themed Driving Home for Christmas. Born in 2003, SAPPHIRE first started to publish her own versions of pop songs when she was seven. Uploading them to video streaming sites, her powerful voice soon found an audience and by the age of 13 she released her debut EP Candy. As her online persona grew -- with videos also focusing on teen fashion and growing up -- SAPPHIRE released a slew of covers by the likes of Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, and more, eventually collecting them for the 2017 compilations Candy, Vol.2 and Vol. 3. Over the next two years, more singles followed, including work with dance producer Alan Walker on "Unity." 2020 saw SAPPHIRE release her own music, issuing the tracks "Painful" and "Stars" and signing with major-label Sony. Her label debut, the holiday-themed Driving Home for Christmas EP, appeared later in 2020. ~ Rich Wilson
