Ronald Borjas

Venezuelan salsa singer and songwriter Ronald Borjas was born in Maracaibo in 1981. A percussion enthusiast from childhood, he began as a timbal player before singing with several local bands. After earning a music degree from Universidad Cecilio Acosta, he joined celebrated tropical group Guaco, spending more than a decade with the band and appearing on four albums. Launching a solo career in 2014, he blended salsa with Latin pop and bachata, debuting with Da Capo (2015), which included the hit "Te Doy Mi Voz" and a duet with Oscar D'León. Over the next decade, collaborations, international touring, and multiple Latin Grammy nominations helped establish him as one of Venezuela's leading contemporary tropical artists. Joyas Que Bailan II arrived in 2026.
